2018 Chevrolet Duramax Audio System

Our take on audio upgrade for the 2018 Chevy Duramax

We started with keeping the factory head unit and adding a JL Audio FIX82 to obtain the signal needed to supply the JL Audio VX1000/5i amplifier that runs this entire audio system in a compact chassis that we hid completly out of view from prying eyes. We then added a JL Audio Stealthbox under the rear seat. JL Audio stealthboxes are made for optimum performance and contoured to the vehicles interior for a perfect fit. 

Next we added 2, 7in DVD Players to the headrests for those long road trips. These DVD Headrest screens are great for keeping the kids entertained. The passengers can hear the audio of the DVD through wireless headphones while the front passengers continue to enjoy whatever music they want and not have to listen to the DVD soundtrack. Each DVD player and screen can also watch their own movie independently or share a movie to watch together. The front panel on each screen also allows for a game system like Playstation or Xbox or any other device with audio and video output to be plugged in and viewed directly on the headrest screen.
