Remote Start and Stereo Systems are the Top Two New Car Upgrades

There is no better feeling than bringing home the car of your dreams. For some of us it's a 2017 Audi A4 or a Fiat 124 Spider, but maybe for you it's a Jeep Wrangler or a Ford Escape. Regardless of the make and model of your dream car, when you do finally purchase a sweet new ride, your first thought will probably be how you can both personalize it to make it your own and improve on some of the standard equipment and functionality. Upgrading your new car to make it perfect is all part of the experience, and from what we've seen, the two most requested upgrades are remote start and stereo systems.

Obviously, any new car worth it's sticker price will have decent systems and features, but nothing that comes standard on a factory-assembled vehicle is going to be quite as outstanding as a customized upgrade. Especially when it comes to audio systems where the equipment can and should be tailored to suit your personal taste in music, there's simply no excuse to settle for anything less than perfection. There are a near-infinite number of combinations of amps, speakers, subs, and kits waiting out there, and it goes without saying that a receiver with Bluetooth streaming audio should be mandatory for bringing your music into your ride. Apple Car Play and Android Audio may not be standard yet, but they should be!

Kicking your sound system up to where it belongs is most people's first order of business when they purchase a new car, and the second really should be adding a two-way remote starter. This upgrade is a game changer, and after the first cold morning during which you've securely warmed up your car from inside the house, you'll never consider going back. These systems can also update you of the status of your car in real-time, which is useful in situations where you aren't in eyesight of your ride. There are even remote start phone apps that give you complete control over your vehicle and are certified James Bond-cool. Best of all, some top-of-the-line brands like Viper and Compustar offer complete kits that feature both remote starters and integrated security systems that are miles better than anything from the factory.

We all know that a car says a lot about its owner, so what will your new ride say about you? Will it say that when it came to your dream car you settled for standard, or that you got the best and then made it better? At the end of the day, it just comes down to you in the driver's seat, so you know what you need to do.
